License plate recognition turns the vehicle into the credential. Approved plates open the gate without a fob, a code, or a window rolled down. Every other vehicle gets logged with a plate image and a timestamp. For fleets, gated communities, and estates with a lot of regular vehicles, it is the cleanest access method available.

How we install it
Plate reads depend on camera angle, mounting height, lighting, and vehicle speed. We position the camera for a clean read at the approach, add IR illumination for night, set a loop or sensor to trigger the read, and connect the controller output to the gate operator. We test with real vehicles at real speeds before we leave.
Integration with access control
LPR works alongside fobs, keypads, and telephone entry rather than replacing them. Approved plates open the gate automatically. Unknown vehicles use the intercom or keypad. Everything shows up in one log with a plate photo attached.
Privacy and retention
You control how long plate data is kept and who can view it. For HOA and multifamily properties we help set a retention policy the board can document.
