Fence Repair Across Spring, The Woodlands and Houston

Houston is hard on fences: clay that moves posts, humidity that rusts iron, summer storms that flatten cedar, and wood posts that rot at ground level. Texas Gates repairs iron, wood, aluminum, chain link, and pipe fencing across North Harris and Montgomery County — and because we fabricate in-house, we rebuild iron sections rather than replacing whole runs.

What We Repair

Leaning and fallen sections: post reset or replacement in new poured footings, panels re-hung. Rotted wood posts replaced with steel posts set in concrete so it doesn’t happen again. Storm and wind damage — panels down, pickets snapped, top rails broken — with priority scheduling after storms.

Rusted or broken iron: we cut out and re-weld pickets, rails, and panels, then grind, prime, and refinish. Broken fence gates: sagging walk gates, sprung hinges, latches that won’t catch, drag on the ground. Vehicle damage on iron and pipe. Chain link fabric, tension wire, and top rail on commercial perimeters. Pipe and ranch fence re-welding, post replacement, and cable re-tensioning.

Repair or Replace?

If the posts are sound and the damage is to panels, pickets, or a gate, repair is almost always the right call. If more than a third of the posts are rotted or heaved, replacement is usually cheaper than chasing failures one at a time. We look at the whole run and quote both options in writing.

Local Knowledge

After every major storm we see the same failures in Spring, Klein, and Cypress: cedar fences with wood posts snapping at grade, and iron fences with shallow footings pushed over. Both are post problems. When we repair, we set the new posts deeper and in steel so the repaired section outlasts the rest of the fence.
