Elite gate opener repair. And when to stop repairing.
Elite operators are discontinued, parts are drying up, and thousands are still running in Houston. Here is how we handle them.
- ✓ $89 service call
- ✓ 30-minute callback
- ✓ Same-day service
- ✓ Owner-operated
- ✓ BBB Accredited & insured
Elite made solid operators, which is why so many Houston gates from the 2000s still have one. Elite was folded into LiftMaster and the product line was discontinued, so new parts are increasingly hard to find. Some repairs are still practical. Others are not, and we will tell you which is which.
We service Elite swing and slide operators across greater Houston.
Repairs that still make sense
- ✓Batteries, capacitors, and fuses.
- ✓Receivers and remotes; modern receivers can be added to most Elite units.
- ✓Photo-eyes, loop detectors, and safety edges.
- ✓Chains, sprockets, and arm hardware.
- ✓Keypads and intercoms wired to the operator.
Repairs that usually do not
- ✓Control boards: new boards are scarce and used ones are a gamble.
- ✓Motors and gearboxes: replacement cost approaches a new operator.
- ✓Lightning damage that takes the board and accessories together.
Replacing an Elite
The LiftMaster LA400, LA500, and CSW200 for swing gates, and the LiftMaster SL3000 or a Viking slide unit for slide gates, are our standard Elite replacements. We reuse posts, pedestals, keypads, and loops where they are sound, and you get a current operator with battery backup, surge protection, and myQ or CellGate access.
What we do on the service call
We diagnose the failure, check parts availability that day, and give you a repair quote and a replacement quote side by side. The $89 service call is credited to whichever you choose.
